Carborundum Universal Ltd has informed the Exchange that the company proposes to enter into power tools business and to facilitate this, it is necessary to pass a special resolution for altering the objects clause of the Memorandum of Association and also for authorizing commencement of the new business, for which the company is seeking approval of the member(s) through Postal Ballot in terms of section 192A of the Companies Act, 1956. The Board of Directors have appointed Mr. R Sridharan of R Sridharan & Associates, Company Secretaries, as Scrutinizer for conducting the Postal Ballot in a fair and transparent manner. Duly completed and signed should reach the Scrutinizer not later than the close of working hours on June 20, 2007. The results will be announced by the Chairman or the Managing Director of the Company on June 28, 2007.
