Larsen & Toubro bags contracts valued at Rs.651crore
Wednesday, July 1, 2009 11:13 amLarsen & Toubro has bagged contracts valued at Rs.651crore for a couple of hydrocarbon deals from HPCL-Mittal Energy and Engineers India.
The HMEL assignment is valued at Rs.440crore for establishing a green field plant venture at Bhatinda. The venture will be carried out by the Construction Business entity of L&T’s E&C section. The contract includes manufacture of electro-mechanical segments for 7 process entities for the Guru Gobind Singh Refinery venture. The process units include Delayed Coker Unit, Vacuum Gas Oil Hydro Treater, Motor Spirit Block, Diesel Hydrotreater, FCC Unit, Poly Propylene Unit and Liquefied Petroleum Gas units. The assignment should be finished in a period of 17 months.
The Engineers India contract is valued at Rs.211crore for the provision and erection of regenerator, reactor and office chamber with structural, refractory lined piping works comprising insulation, painting & refractory works for FCC unit for Phase III of MRPL, Mangalore. The work will be carried out mutually by L&T’s Heavy Engineering Division and the Construction Business entity of L&T’s E&C Division within 2 years.
The company will provide significant process equipment worth Rs.106crore for this project. Site erection is worth Rs.105crore.
In the meantime, L&T is already carrying out a DHDT & hydrogen package and hydrogen package at Mangalore and at Bhatinda based on lump sum turnkey, which is worth Rs.700crore and Rs.1, 400crore, correspondingly.
