Bajaj Auto sees a drop in its motorcycle sales
Tuesday, June 2, 2009 1:40 pmBajaj Auto sales plunged as the company declared on Tuesday a fall of 8% motorcycles sales for May.
The fall arrives at a time when competitor Hero Honda recorded over 20% increase in the same month. Bajaj Auto posted sales of 165,049 units last month as opposed to 179,649 units sold in the consequent month of the last year.
Reportedly, the latest Pulsar 150 and 180 have been doing well and as a result the manufacture of the Pulsars is being gradually grown to 50,000 units monthly.
Company’s exports also saw a fall of 3% as opposed to 60,215 units recorded in the same month in 2007.
