GAIL trims down gas provision to Gujarat Gas by 40%
Monday, August 3, 2009 4:04 pmGAIL India has slashed the quantity of gas offered to Gujarat Gas Company by nearly 40% following a marine outflow in the Mukta, Tapti and Panna oilfields, which has driven to a close down in crude output from the service.
Gujarat Gas, which is occupied in provision of gas to auto, industrial and domestic customers in Gujarat, obtains around 75% of its needs from the PMT fields via GAIL India. The cutback has affected industrial customers of Gujarat Gas. According to the operators of PMT, ONGC and Reliance Industries, the repairs are expected to take nearly 10 days due to uneven climate in the Arabian Sea.
