Axis Bank focuses 30% growth in the eastern region by fiscal end

Axis Bank, private sector banking major is aiming 30% growth in total business in the eastern region by the end of this fiscal. It had registered Rs.18,000 crore business in 2007-08.
The total business of the bank has touched about Rs.20,000 crore by December of the present financial year. Axis Bank plans to introduce 15-20 new branches in the region by March 2009. Lately, it has established its 150th branch at Manton in Kolkata.
The private sector bank has 737 branches, 20 extension counters and 3,157 ATMs across 452 cities and towns of the country.
