L&T unable to gain from the contract of construction division

Larsen and Tubro presently trades at Rs 843.50 down by 10.90 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs 854.40 on the BSE.

The stock opened at Rs 850 and has touched a high of Rs 867.90 with a low of Rs 832.So far 934388 shares were traded on the BSE.

The BSE CG sector stock has touched a 52 week high of Rs 4,400 on January 10, 2008 and a 52 week low of Rs 670 on December 2, 2008.

The BSE CG index presently trades at 7,454 down by 0.52% from its previous closing.

Larsen and Tubro’s (L&T) construction division, Buildings & Factories Operating Company has received add-on orders to the tune of Rs 1,100 crore in the third quarter of 2008-09, the company informed BSE.

The projects were acquired from its ongoing developmental projects like mixed use developments at Chandigarh, Darley Road Tower in Sri Lanka, Airport Hotel at Bangalore and add on works at its airport projects.

These orders have further enhanced the order book of the company which has already secured major design and build orders in the airports, IT Parks and commercial space.
