Reportedly, Anil Ambani on Wednesday had a discussion with Fertilizer Secretary, who believes family contracts should not override country’s interest.
There was a major discussion over gas provision to the group company RNRL by RIL.
Government had granted priority to fertilizer entities while prioritizing natural gas allotment, followed by power utilities.
RIL and RNRL have issued cross-petitions in the SC opposed to the 15th June ruling of the Bombay High Court that stated Anil Ambani group should obtain gas from Reliance Industries at $2.34 per mbtu, a rate that is 44% lower than that set by the government.
