Petronet LNG to seize LNG import workstation in Dahej

Petronet LNG has decided to take charge of its extended LNG import workstation at Dahej from the suppliers next week. The company had planned the launch of extended workstation in May, however due to technical hitches the operation was halted.  This workstation rips bore during the launch of operations has now been sorted out.
Japan’s IHI Corporation was given the EPC agreement to raise the power of Dahej workstation to 10mt.
The company has regassified 6.4mt of LNG in fiscal 2009, which is counterpart to nearly 25.6MMSCMD. At present, Petronet LNG functions at a standard of 30mcm a day.
The company is likely to be in situation to provide 38 MMSCMD of natural gas by end of fiscal 2010. Moreover, the company will also construct a 2.5 MTPA LNG import workstation at Kochi by 2011 end. It has already signed a 20-year agreement with Exxon Mobil for providing 1.5 MTPA LNG from its supposed workstation that will begin from the year 2014.
