Idea Cellular determines to devote Rs.1, 000crore funds for the subsequent 3 years in Tamil Nadu. It executes in 18 circles in the country as part of the Aditya Birla Group. The investment strategy is part of company’s plan to be pan-India telecom service supplier by 2009’s end. It introduced its services in Gujarat and Maharashtra regions in 1997. The company in total has introduced operations in 8 circles in last couple of years and at present it executes in 18 circles all over the country. It has a subscriber foundation of 47 million clients.
Idea Cellular has already executed GSM services in TN in May 2009. Moreover, it plans to introduce the services in Jammu and Kashmir, Kolkata and North East in the next few months.
