Closing Note: Markets ended on a low note

The Sensex fell 150 points at 15,009 after reaching an up of 15,417 and a down of 14,902. The index hit at 15,287 opposed to the earlier end of 15,160. The Nifty closed down by 44 points to close at 4,437.
Stocks traded lower in Europe. The FTSE was low by 0.6%. The DAX was low 0.7% and the CAC 40 index was low 0.6%.
The Nikkei closed up by 1% at 10,524 in Asia, whereas Australia’s S&P/ASX closed up by 0.2% at 4,304. Shanghai index dropped by 0.3% at 3,249. The Hang Seng index closed up by 2.8% at 20,929.
