Midday Note: Market in the negative
Monday, September 14, 2009 10:10 amThe NSE Nifty cracked a 6 day upswing and hit lower due to feeble Asian cues. It was floating nearly the 4800 standard. Jindal Steel & Power, Nalco, HDFC, Cairn India, Sterlite Industries, DLF, Unitech, ABB, TCS and Siemens were the losers in the initial trade.
Nevertheless, BPCL, Ranbaxy Labs, Tata Power, SBI, HUL, BHEL, Wipro, ITC, PNB and NTPC were lending aid.
The BSE Sensex was 70 points low and the NSE Nifty was 21 points low at 9:57 am. The CNX dipped only 8 points. Nearly 330 shares rushed while 440 shares fell on the NSE NIFTY.
