NTPC establishes Rs.17, 700crore capex

NTPC has established a capital outlay of Rs.17, 700crore for this economic year.
Reportedly, internal accruals were adequate to fund the company’s planned investment.
The company is discovering possibilities of obtaining coal fields across the globe, particularly in Mozambique, South Africa and Indonesia.
NTPC has put an objective of establishing nuclear power competence of 2000 Megawatt, hydro power competence of 9,000 Megawatt, renewable energy of 1,000, Megawatt by 2017.
