Astra Microwave receives order worth Rs.13.80 crore from Antrix Corporation

India’s leading provider of microwave wireless technologies for use in defense, space, and telecommunications, Astra Microwave Products has bagged an order worth Rs.13.80 crore from the Antrix Corporation, the commercial arm of Indian Department of Space.
The order is for the supply, installation, and commissioning of remote unmanned automatic remote weather stations in 500 locations across India. The weather stations will feed live data via satellite to the Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) central servers on a 24X7 basis, which is scheduled to be commissioned before May 2009.
