The benchmark indices closed the session on a level note following a severe recuperation in the previous two hours driven by power, oil & gas, select financial and cement stocks. Nevertheless, telecom, metal, realty and select technology stocks stayed under stress; ITC, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and L&T were actual slackers in Tuesday’s trade.
The markets started on a downside after the unenthusiastic international cues but they got unstable afterward post revival. The 30-share BSE was low with 49 points whereas the Nifty increased 11 points.
