L&T bags Rs.1044crore contract for Gulf assignments

L&T declared on Monday that it had received 4 contracts from Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates estimating to Rs.1, 044crore for the building of electrical substations. These assignments will be carried out by E&GP OC, part of L&T’s construction segment.
L&T has bagged an Rs.737crore deal from Qatar Petroleum for the building of 4 electrical substations, telecom network development and cabling at Ras Lafan to be carried out within 32 months. The company also received an Rs.115crore from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in UAE for the building of 132/11 Kv substation in UAE.
Additionally, L&T bagged an Rs.86crore contract from KAHRAMAA Qatar for the building of a 66/11 Kv substation at Eeducation City in Doha.
