Reliance Industries bags city-gas rights for three cities
Thursday, August 27, 2009 11:58 amReliance Industries has received rights to retail CNG to vehicles and pipe gas to family units in 2 cities of Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
RIL hit the affiliation of Adani Energy and IOC to obtain rights for city gas in Rajahmundry in AP.
The company also received the rights to Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh and retail city gas in Yanan in AP.
Reportedly, PNGRB proposed bids for these 3 cities where Reliance came up as the preferential bidder. The controller has, nevertheless, not granted a letter of intent to RIL as the Delhi High Court has confined it from doing so.
The alliance of Adani Energy and IOC had earlier won for city-gas rights in Chandigarh and Allahabad. PNGRB is still to propose bids for Jhansi and Ghaziabad.
