Maruti Suzuki high on price hike
Wednesday, January 28, 2009 10:50 amMaruti Suzuki has planned to hike prices of its high-end vehicles because of higher contribution prices and overseas currency movement. The company had no option but to go for a hike in prices as such issues impact prices of imported components.
As a consequence, with effect from 28th January, 2009, prices of high-end vehicles will be increased by Rs.5,000-10,000.
A Star hatchback, Swift Petrol Lxi, all alternatives of SX4, higher variants of Swift-VXi and ZXi, and all variants of its diesel edition and Swift DZire will see a price increase.
Nevertheless, prices of WagonR, Zen Estilo, Gypsy, M800, Omni, Alto, Versa, besides the SUV Grand Vitara will remain unmoved.
