Closing Note: Market dipped

The Sensex closed down by 43 points after reaching an up of 15,463 and a down of 15,240. The index hit at 15,428 opposed to the last end of 15,375. The Nifty dropped 13 points to end at 4,559.
Asia, Japan had a level end, while Australia closed up. Hong Kong ascended by 1.8%.
Stocks were blended in Europe. The FTSE was low with 0.3%. The DAX was level at 5,243 and the CAC 40 was low with 0.2%.
The Realty index was the lead earner among the Sensex sector indices, increasing 4.5%, followed by the Auto index. The Sensex Metal index was high 1.2% and the Sensex Power index was high with 0.7%.
The lead gainers comprised Welspun Gujarat, Tata Chemicals, Cadila, Nagarjuna Const, Renuka Sugar and RCF outside the frontline indices.
Bank of India, Fin Tech, Areva, ABB and Jain Irrigation were among the big losers in the broader market.
The lead gainers were DLF, Maruti, RCom, Tata Motors, Reliance Infra, Tata Power and Tata Steel within the Sensex. Grasim, SBI, Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and Infosys were among the major losers.
