NABARD to sustain assignments valued at Rs.793.85crore
Tuesday, July 28, 2009 4:00 pmNABARD has approved Rs.793.85crore to execute several assignments in Tamil Nadu. Reportedly, the Project Sanctioning Committee for RIDF during the meeting that was conducted on 23rd July, approved with a sum economic expenditure of Rs.439.23crore for 5 assignments and RIDF support of Rs.354.62crore under RIDF tranche XV.
The assignments approved comprise founding of dairy cum powder factory of 2lakhlitres each day of milk and 20mt of milk powder in Tiruvannamalai district that will assist in dispensation of surplus milk of Milk Producers’ Unions in Trichy, Salem, Villupuram and Vellore regions. It will help around 10lakh milk makers.
Additionally, assignments for production of “Pay and Use” hygienic complexes in 14 regions of the state, growth of village roads extended across 30 districts, production of 99 bridges in 23 regions and broadening and building of other regional roads in 14 districts of the state were approved under RIDF.
