BHEL receives Rs.170crore deal
Monday, June 29, 2009 1:33 pmBHEL stated on Monday that it has received a Rs.170crore contract from Chennai Petroleum Corporation for establishing gas turbine-based co-generation power refinery at its Manali factory.
BHEL has bagged a Rs.170crore pact from CPCL for establishing an energy efficient 20 Mega Watt co-generation power factory at its Manali factory.
A co-generation power factory supplies heating water and power for an industrial location or a complete city.
The venture is being established to meet the extra power and steam needs of the factory as part of its venture to get acquiescence to Euro-IV emission standards.
BHEL’s range of work in the current venture foresees supply, erection, design, engineering, manufacture and commissioning of gas turbine producer and heat recuperation steam maker with linked auxiliaries and balance of factory.
The tools for the venture will be provided by BHEL’s factories at Bhopal, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Trichy, Ranipet and Jhansi. Commissioning and erection of the captive power factory will be executed by the company’s Power Sector.
