The markets ended on a level note as it was a strengthening day after Friday’s rally. Oil & gas, banking (barring ICICI Bank), metal, real estate and select infrastructure companies’ shares boosted the benchmark indices. Nevertheless, selling in cement and technology along with Suzlon, Sun Pharmacy, HDFC, Tata Motors, Reliance Communication, ITC, Idea, Hero Honda and Tata Power put stress on the markets. The BSE Sensex was high with only 8 points and the NSE Nifty increased 11 points.
