European market opens on a stable note

The European markets moved forward in the early trades following firm Asian markets. Also the U.S. index futures traded with slight promising gains.

BP Plc, and Woodside Petroleum rose over 3%, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group Holdings surged 8.3%.

The UK FTSE 100 index was up 105 points or 2.5% at 4,321. The German DAX index was up 75 points or 1.6% at 4,703. French CAC 40 index slipped 49 points or 1.5% at 3,165.

France’s economy expanded in Q3 delaying the country’s slide into a recession. GDP in the euro-region’s rose 0.1% from Q2, when it shrank 0.3%.
