Hindustan Zinc maintains silver, lead, zinc rates
Thursday, April 30, 2009 5:04 pmHindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Resources group company stated on Thursday that it has preserved the costs of its base metals like zinc, lead and silver at previous week’s standards.
Lead, which is utilized chiefly by rubber, battery and paint industries, rests at previous week’s standard of Rs.89,100 a tonne, whereas zinc, which is utilized in making galvanized steel, stands at Rs.88,400 per tonne.
The cost review is implemented from Thursday.
Hindustan Zinc kept the metal’s cost stable at 21,370 per kg.
Silver is utilized in mirrors and in catalysis of chemical reactions, electrical links and conductors. Its mergers are utilized in dental fillings.
The miner modifies prices of its base metals chiefly two times a week concurrently with the cost movement at the London Metal Exchange. Silver prices are assessed nearly every day.
Hindustan Zinc ended at Rs.483.15, which is high with 3.78% on the BSE yesterday.
