Aurobindo Pharma receives USFDA nod for 2 drugs
Wednesday, December 31, 2008 3:34 pmAurobindo Pharma, drug maker today said it has got approvals from US drug regulator for Stavudine capsules and Stavudine oral solution, which are used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection.
The company has got agreement from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Stavudine capsules and Stavudine for oral solution used for treating HIV-1infection, Aurobindo Pharma said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Further, the company has got the US regulator’s sanction for Stavudine capsules in the strengths of 15 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg and 40 mg and Stavudine oral solution in 1 mg or 1 ml.
On 22 December, the pharmaceutical firm had got an uncertain new drug approval from USFDA for its fixed dose combination drug product Lamivudine, Zidovudine and Nevirapine tablets used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection.
Shares of the company traded at Rs.167.05, up 3.69 per cent on the BSE.
