ACC presently trades at Rs.588.30, which is low by 2.85 points from its last close of Rs.591.15 on the Sensex.

ACC Ltd will allocate Rs.1,600 crore this year and another Rs.1,300 crore in 2010 in spite of doubt about demand and qualms of excess capacity disappointing costs.

ACC presently trades at Rs.560, which is high by 11.35 points from its last close of Rs.548.65 on the Sensex.

With the increasing demand of cement, the cement companies are in a positive frame of mind. The chief cement companies trades up by 1-3% in the initial trade on the Sensex.

Binani Cement, JK Lakshmi Cement, Shree Cement, ACC, India Cement, Ambuja Cements and Grasim Industries traded high.

ACC recorded yesterday a 12.5% increase in cement shipments to 1.89 million tonnes last month over January last year.
