The Sensex Bankex was 1.31% high at 9,299.14 at 11:43 IST.

Buying in metal, oil & gas, realty, power and select banking stocks was pushing the markets, however selling in technology, cement stocks along with Maruti, HDFC, ITC, L&T, Tata Motors, Suzlon and Tata Power capped the profits at 11:59 hours IST.

Traded volume was down yesterday and is likely to stay the same this week as well.

The benchmark indices registered some more profits and rushed up as banking, capital goods, realty, metal, power, auto and cement stocks were on the purchasers’ radar at 11:07 hours IST.

The benchmark index traded up in the course of jerky trades at 11.34 am, as technology, telecom, oil & gas, infrastructure, metal and pharmacy stocks helped the markets.

Kotak Mahindra Bank, domestic private lender has an option to obtain Royal Bank of Scotland’s India trade in case such likelihood occurs.
