Domestic markets trade in a constricted lane with a pessimistic prejudice in the post noon trades.

The Nifty fell 78 points to end at 4,235.

Markets have become unstable and have fallen severely in the post noon trades due to selling seen in the index bigwigs such as NTPC, Sun Pharmacy, Reliance Industries, ONGC and Infosys.

The Sensex rushed 256 points to close at 14,522 after reaching an up of 14,559 and a down of 14,178. The index had started at 14,322 opposed to the last end of 14,265.
