The benchmark indices traded with optimistic bias in spite of selling stress at higher standards at 10:39 hours IST.

Gujarat State Fertilizers Company, Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers, National fertilizers, Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation, Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals and Tata Chemicals rushed up.

The markets witnessed some selling stress in the wake of downtrend in power, technology, capital goods, oil & gas, select banking and telecom stocks at 11:30 hours IST.

The Sensex rushed 215 points to end at 14,840 after reaching an up of 14,907 and a down of 14,655.
